Malcolm Timothy Gladwell is an English-born Canadian journalist, author, and public speaker. He has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1996. Gladwell has published seven books, exploring the unexpected implications of research in the social sciences, such as sociology and psychology, and frequently utilizes academic work in his narratives. His notable works include The Tipping Point, Blink, Outliers, What the Dog Saw, and David and Goliath. In addition to his writing, Gladwell is the host of the podcast Revisionist History and co-founder of the podcast company Pushkin Industries.
Gladwell was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2011, marking his significant contributions to journalism and literature. He is also a co-founder of Pushkin Industries, an audio content company that produces podcasts, including Revisionist History, which reconsiders things both overlooked and misunderstood, and Broken Record, where he, Rick Rubin, and Bruce Headlam interview musicians across a wide range of genres.
