Jorge Bucay

Jorge Bucay is an Argentine gestalt psychotherapist, psychodramatist, and writer. Born on October 30, 1949, in Buenos Aires, he was raised in the barrio of Floresta. His books have sold more than two million copies worldwide and have been translated into over seventeen languages.

Coming from a modest family, Bucay began working at the age of thirteen. Throughout his life, he has held numerous jobs, including traveling salesman, insurance agent, taxi driver, clown, warehouseman, educator, actor, doctor on duty, host of children's parties, psychiatrist, group coordinator, radio collaborator, and television host.

In 1973, he graduated as a doctor from the University of Buenos Aires, specializing in mental illnesses at the Buenos Aires Pirovano Hospital.
