Ashley Herring Blake

Ashley Herring Blake is an award-winning author of children's fiction, young adult novels, and adult romance novels. She began her writing career in 2016 and has since become known for her engaging storytelling and compelling characters. One of her most notable accomplishments is her middle grade debut Ivy Aberdeen's Letter to the World, which received the Stonewall Honor Book Award and was recognized as a Best Book of 2018 by Kirkus, School Library Journal, NYPL, and NPR.

In addition to her work in middle grade fiction, Blake has authored young adult novels such as Suffer Love, How to Make a Wish, and Girl Made of Stars, the latter of which was a Lambda Literary Award finalist. Her contribution to the genre of adult romance is evident in her novels Delilah Green Doesn't Care, Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail, Iris Kelly Doesn't Date, and Make the Season Bright. She is also a co-editor on the young adult romance anthology Fools in Love.

Outside of writing, Blake is a mother, a former teacher with a Master's degree in teaching, and an avid reader. She enjoys coffee, arranging her books by color, and the coziness of cold weather. Ashley Herring Blake lives with her family on a very tiny island off the coast of Georgia.
