Sharon L. Lechter

Sharon L. Lechter is an accomplished American accountant, author, and businesswoman. She was born on January 12, 1954. Lechter is widely recognized as the co-author of the bestselling book Rich Dad Poor Dad. She is also the founder and CEO of Pay Your Family First, a prominent financial education organization.

In January 2008, Lechter was appointed to the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy to serve a two-year term. Her work emphasizes the importance of financial literacy and education.

In addition to her role as an author and educator, Sharon Lechter is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, international speaker, and a licensed CPA. She has also been recognized as a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Importantly, she is a devoted mother and grandmother.

Her advocacy for education extends into her role as a national spokeswoman and Presidential Adviser on financial literacy. In 2016, she was appointed by Junior Achievement as a JA University of Success Founding Chancellor and later in 2017 as the Arizona Chairman for the 2020 Women on Boards initiative. Furthermore, in 2019, Sharon was appointed by Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee to the Arizona Financial Literacy Task Force.
