Robert Greene is an American author known for his books on strategy, power, and seduction. He was born on May 14, 1959, in Los Angeles. Greene is the author of six international bestsellers: The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, The 50th Law (written with rapper 50 Cent), Mastery, and The Laws of Human Nature. His most recent work is The Daily Laws.
Greene attended the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he earned a degree in classical studies. He has worked as an editor and writer in New York, including positions at magazines such as Esquire, and as a story developer and writer in Hollywood. Greene has lived in London, Paris, and Barcelona, and speaks several languages. He was involved in the planning and creation of the art school Fabrica in Italy, where he met Joost Elffers and discussed his idea for a book on power and manipulation.
His books are well-regarded by a diverse audience, including business leaders, war historians, and musicians like Jay-Z, Drake, and 50 Cent. Greene currently resides in Los Angeles.
