Henriette Mantel is an Emmy-award winning writer, director, actress, producer, and stand-up comic from Vermont, USA. She has a diverse career in the entertainment industry, having worked on multiple platforms including film, television, and theater.
Her latest book, No Kidding: Women Writers on Bypassing Parenthood, published in 2013, is being adapted into an Off-Broadway show. In 2012-13, she created a web series titled, In The Middle, for Salon.com, which she directed, wrote, and acted in.
Henriette has extensive experience in directing documentaries. She co-wrote and directed An Unreasonable Man, a documentary about the life of Ralph Nader, which appeared at Sundance, in theatres across the country, on PBS, and Showtime.
Her first web series was Midge and Buck, featured on Icebox.com. In addition, her critically acclaimed play, Girl Talk, which explores one womanβs journey in New York City after September 11, was showcased at the 2002 Aspen Comedy Fest.
