Antonio Santa Ana was born in 1963 in Buenos Aires, where he currently lives with his two children. He has been working for ten years with the Grupo Editorial Norma in Argentina, focusing on editing and circulating children's and youth collections. Before joining Norma, he spent ten years organizing the Buenos Aires Book Fair and working at the Libros del Quirquincho publishing house.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Associación de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil de la Argentina (ALIJA) and of the editorial committee of the Latin American Magazine of Children's and Youth Literature published by Fundalectura (a section of IBBY). Santa Ana has served as a jury member for important literary contests and actively participates in various related activities.
