Sherif Arafa (Arabic: شريف عرفة) is an Egyptian director, writer, and producer, born on December 25, 1960. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1982.

Sherif Arafa participated in the making of many significant films in the history of Egyptian cinema, including Terrorism and Kebab, Birds of Darkness, Al-La'ib Ma'a Al-Kibar, Mafia, Halim, Welad El Am, and The Treasure. He also produced several television works such as Tamer we Shawkeya and Lahazat Harega "Critical moments".

He is well-known for his political films created in collaboration with the writer Wahid Hamed.
