Sean Covey

Sean Covey is an American business executive, author, and speaker. He is currently the President of FranklinCovey Education and serves as the Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships. Covey is renowned for his works including The 4 Disciplines of Execution, The 6 Most Important Decisions You'll Ever Make, The 7 Habits of Happy Kids, and the popular The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, which has been translated into 20 languages and sold over 8 million copies worldwide.

Sean Covey was the starting quarterback for Brigham Young University during the 1987 and 1988 seasons, although he was benched due to an ankle sprain. After his college football career, he wrote The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, a book based on the principles of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, written by his father, Stephen R. Covey, but directed towards the life of a teen. Another significant book he has authored is The 6 Most Important Decisions You Will Ever Make, which guides teenagers on making crucial life decisions involving school, friends, parents, dating and sex, addictions, and self-worth.

Sean graduated with honors from BYU with a bachelor's degree in English and later earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. As a versatile keynoter, he regularly speaks to both kids and adults within schools and organizations and has made appearances on numerous radio and TV shows.

Born in Belfast, Ireland, Sean’s interests include movies, working out, spending time with his children, riding his motorcycle, producing short films, and writing books. He and his wife, Rebecca, reside with their children in the Rocky Mountains.
