Scarlett Thomas was born on 5 July 1972 in Hammersmith, London. A prolific English author, she is renowned for her contemporary postmodern fiction. Thomas has penned ten novels to date, including notable works such as The End of Mr. Y and PopCo, as well as the Worldquake series aimed at younger readers and Monkeys With Typewriters, a guide on unlocking the power of storytelling.
Thomas's literary expertise extends into the academic realm, where she occupies the role of Professor of Creative Writing & Contemporary Fiction at the University of Kent.
