Robert Roy Pool is an American screenwriter born in 1953. He is renowned for his work on several acclaimed motion pictures. Among his notable works are Outbreak (1995), starring Dustin Hoffman, and The Big Town (1987), featuring Matt Dillon. In 1998, he received a "story by" credit for the film Armageddon, which starred Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton.
Pool has often collaborated with Laurence Dworet, a former emergency department doctor, on multiple scripts. Although not all scripts reached production, such as the unproduced Ultimatum, his contributions to the film industry remain significant.
