Michael Ledwidge is an American author who hails from the Bronx, New York. He is renowned for his prolific collaboration with the best-selling American author James Patterson.

Born to Irish parents, Ledwidge grew up in the Bronx and is a graduate of Manhattan College. He is married and a father of two. Before his collaboration with Patterson, he was an admired, albeit not widely read, author.
