Kay Redfield Jamison is an American clinical psychologist and writer, born on June 22, 1946. She is widely recognized as one of the foremost experts on bipolar disorder, a condition she has experienced since her early adulthood.

Dr. Jamison holds the esteemed position of the Dalio Professor in Mood Disorders and Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Additionally, she is an Honorary Professor of English at the University of St Andrews.
