Julie James

Julie James is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who initially pursued a career in law. After graduating from law school, she clerked for the United States Court of Appeals and practiced law with one of the nation’s largest firms. However, her passion for writing led her to screenwriting, and two of her scripts were optioned by Hollywood producers. This success encouraged her to leave law and pursue a full-time career as a novelist.

Julie’s novels, often recognized for their appeal, have been listed on Amazon’s Best Books of the Year, the American Library Association’s Reading List for Top Genre Novels, and Booklist's Top 10 Romances of the Year. Additionally, her works have been featured as a Cosmopolitan magazine Red Hot Read. Her books have been translated into twenty-two languages. Her ninth novel, The Thing About Love, is now available.

Julie James resides in Chicago with her husband and two children, where she continues to work on her upcoming books.
