Julie James is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author known for her work in the romance genre. After graduating from law school, she clerked for the United States Court of Appeals and practiced law at one of the nation’s largest firms. Her legal career took a turn when Hollywood producers optioned two of her screenplays, leading her to pursue writing full-time.

Julie’s novels have earned her a spot on Amazon’s Best Books of the Year, the American Library Association’s Reading List for Top Genre Novels, and Booklist‘s Top 10 Romances of the Year. Her works have been translated into twenty-two languages, and her ninth novel, The Thing About Love, is currently available.
