Lars Jonas Holger Gardell is a Swedish novelist, playwright, screenwriter and comedian. Born on 2nd November 1963, he is renowned for his impactful work across Scandinavia. His literary creations have been translated into approximately 25 languages, making a significant mark internationally.

Gardell is also known to be the brother of the prominent religion scholar, Mattias Gardell.
