John M. Woolsey

John Munro Woolsey was a distinguished United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Born on January 3, 1877, Woolsey served as a Senior Judge from December 31, 1943, until his death on May 4, 1945. He was renowned for his brilliant and poignantly phrased decisions, notably contributing several important precedents in First Amendment jurisprudence.
