Jocko Willink

John Gretton "Jocko" Willink Jr., commonly known as Jocko Willink, is an American author, podcaster, and retired United States Navy officer. He served in the Navy SEALs, where he was a member of SEAL Team 3. Willink's military service is distinguished by his actions in the Iraq War, where he led SEAL Team 3's Task Unit Bruiser during the battle against Iraqi insurgents in Ramadi. For his valorous service, he received the Silver Star and Bronze Star Medal.

Following his military career, Willink has co-authored influential books such as Extreme Ownership and The Dichotomy of Leadership with fellow retired SEAL Leif Babin. He also co-founded the management consulting firm Echelon Front, LLC. Known for his insights on leadership and discipline, Willink reaches a wide audience through his weekly podcast, The Jocko Podcast, alongside Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner Echo Charles. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of San Diego.
