Gündüz Vassaf

Gündüz Vassaf is a renowned Turkish author and psychologist known for his insightful works and contributions to psychology and literature. Born in 1946 in the United States, Vassaf completed his high school education at Istanbul Robert College. He pursued a degree in psychology at George Washington University in 1968. In 1977, he obtained his doctorate from Ankara Hacettepe University and provided psychological counseling to students at Ankara University's Medico-Social Center for many years.

Gündüz Vassaf served as a board member of the International Council of Psychologists. Following the military coup on September 12, Vassaf resigned from his position at Boğaziçi University. After his resignation, he held academic positions at Kassel, Bremen, and Marburg Universities, was a visiting scholar at McGill University's Center for Developing Area Studies in Canada, worked as a clinical psychologist at Averoes Stichting in Amsterdam, and contributed to various academic and clinical settings in Vienna.
