Douglas A Brimson, born in 1959 in Hemel Hempstead, England, is a renowned English film producer, screenwriter, and author. He is best known for writing the multi-award-winning feature film, Green Street. To date, he has written 17 books, including the classic study of hooliganism, Everywhere We Go: Behind the Matchday Madness, and the football gangland trilogy, The Crew, Top Dog, and In The Know.
Brimson is one of a select band of British writers who have enjoyed success in publishing both fiction and non-fiction, as well as in the world of screenwriting. His writing career began in 1996 after 18 years of service with the RAF when he co-authored the best-selling non-fiction work Everywhere We Go. This book remains essential reading for anyone interested in the culture of English football.
