Donita Kathleen Paul is a best-selling contemporary Christian fiction novelist, born on November 20, 1950, in Lawrence, Kansas. She is best known for her fantasy DragonKeeper Chronicles series. Her work in this series earned her a finalist medal in the Christy Awards for the first installment, DragonSpell.

In addition to her fantasy novels, Paul has written romances and juvenile novels under the pen name Kathleen Paul. She now resides in eastern Colorado.
