Dan Chaon is a renowned American writer, born on June 11, 1964. He has authored three short story collections and four novels. Chaon was formerly a creative writing professor at Oberlin College, where he held the position of Pauline M. Delaney Chair.
His work Among the Missing was a finalist for the National Book Award, and You Remind Me of Me was recognized as one of the best books of the year by various publications, including The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, The Christian Science Monitor, and Entertainment Weekly.
Chaon's fiction has been featured in numerous journals and anthologies such as Best American Short Stories, The Pushcart Prize, and The O. Henry Prize Stories. He has been a finalist for the National Magazine Award in Fiction and received the 2006 Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
He currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
