Arnaldur Indriðason

Arnaldur Indriðason is an Icelandic writer born on January 28, 1961. He is renowned for his crime fiction, particularly his series featuring the protagonist Detective Erlendur.

Arnaldur has the rare distinction of having won the Nordic Crime Novel Prize two consecutive years. Notably, he is the winner of the prestigious CWA Gold Dagger Award for the best crime novel of the year in the English language, Silence of the Grave.

His novels have sold over 14 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 40 languages, garnering numerous well-respected prizes and rave reviews internationally.
