Annabel Pitcher is a British children's writer, born in 1982. She studied English at the University of Oxford and has worked as a scriptwriter and English teacher. Currently, she resides in Yorkshire with her husband and is a full-time writer.
Her first novel, My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece, explores serious themes such as terrorism, alcoholism, and parental abandonment through the eyes of a child, infusing humor into these dramatic elements. Other notable works include Ketchup Clouds and Silence is Goldfish.
