Annabel Pitcher is a British children's writer. Born in 1982, she studied English at Oxford University and has worked as a scriptwriter and an English teacher. She lives in Yorkshire with her husband and is now a full-time writer.

Her debut novel, "My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece", allows readers to see dramatic issues such as terrorism, alcoholism, and parental neglect through the eyes of a child, often with a touch of humor.
