Good ideas, sucky prose. I can't see what all the hype is about.

It's really sweet. I don't like the way it's written (not because i think its badly written, but because it's very simple and plain) but I like the characters and the story. I think that everyone in high school should read it. It would have been my favorite in high school. I also think that this paragraph sounds a bit like Charlie and that I can't get his voice out of my head. The movie is way better.

Este libro es parcialmente como Hogwarts en el espacio. Leia es parte de un grupo de chicos llamados Pathfinders, cuyo propósito es prepararlos para sobrevivir en todo tipo de circunstancias. Así como en la Legislatura de Aprendices , un grupo en el Senado de adolescentes. Algo como un Senado de prueba.
Lo mejor es conocer a esta joven y optimista Leia (y a Amilyn Holdo, que me recuerda un tanto a Luna Lovegood de HP) y descubrir cómo inició su participación en la Rebelión.
Lo peor es que el libro se vuelve un tanto repetitivo y algunas de las conversaciones que tiene Leia con sus padres. Simplemente nadie a los 16 es taaaan bueno y admira tanto a sus padres. Cringeeeeee.
Se los recomiendo para saber más del Universo Expandido de Star Wars, sin embargo no es nada esencial. A menos que, como yo, ames a Amilyn Holdo.

The only thing, in my opinion, that saves this book is Dors and Demerzel. They are awesome, awesome characters and a true continuation of Asimov work about robots. Ah, also, Wanda Seldon is pretty impressive too; if a bit stuck inside very narrow actions: she's too perfect and has too little grey area, in my opinion, to be a complete character.
The book is generally boring, it has too many conversations that could have been avoidable and that just are there to fill pages, or so it seems. I skipped through most of Hari's meetings with politicians and business people.
Still, the middle part about Dors is really good and if you liked Foundation, you should definitely read this.

El final es increíble, pero... Le sobra mucho al libro. Se vuelve redundante en partes y creo que hay muy poco que te lleve a ese final. El enemigo siempre me pareció muy... Ausente como para que al final tengan que destruirlo. Siento que no crece lo suficiente y que es más como una excusa; sin embargo y eso se evidencia por el cierre... El autor no,quería que fuera una excusa, el enemigo es una parte importante, pero no lo parece. Pudo ser épico. Es regular.

Creo que sólo lo leí porque el primero me dejo con una interrogante enorme (así que algo debió hacer bien ese libro). El segundo está bien, tiene mucha más acción que el primero y el final o mas bien la respuesta al misterio es algo predecible.
