Zhao Haihong is a renowned Chinese science fiction writer. She holds an M.A. in English literature from Zhejiang University and serves as an English literature instructor at Zhejiang Gongshang University in Hangzhou, China.
Zhao began her literary journey in 1996 and has since been acknowledged with several prestigious awards, including the Galaxy Award from Science Fiction World Magazine, the Soong Ching Ling Children's Literature Award, and the sixth National Writers Association Award for outstanding children's literature in China.
Her debut story collection, Eyes of the Birches, was published in 1999 and solidified her reputation as a significant voice in the genre of science fiction.
