Wolfgang Hohlbein

Wolfgang Hohlbein is a German writer known for his works in science fiction, fantasy, and horror fiction. He was born on 15 August 1953. His wife, Heike Hohlbein, is also a writer and they frequently collaborate. Together, they have published more than 200 books and sold over 43 million copies, making Wolfgang one of the most successful German writers in the fantasy genre.

His literary career began in 1982 when he and his wife submitted a manuscript to a fantasy and science fiction writing contest, which they won. The winning book, Märchenmond (English title: "Magic Moon"), published by Ueberreuter Publishing, became a bestseller and won several awards, marking one of their greatest successes.

Wolfgang Hohlbein resides near Neuss, North Rhine-Westphalia. Their daughter, Rebecca, is also a writer. Wolfgang began writing short stories at the age of 15.
