Wally Lamb is an American author renowned for his compelling novels, including the highly acclaimed She's Come Undone and I Know This Much Is True, both of which gained immense popularity as selections of Oprah's Book Club.
In addition to his literary achievements, Lamb served as the director of the Writing Center at Norwich Free Academy in Norwich from 1989 to 1998. His passion for creative writing also saw him teaching in the English Department at the University of Connecticut.
Over the course of his career, Lamb has penned six New York Times bestselling novels, which include I'll Take You There, We Are Water, Wishin' and Hopin', The Hour I First Believed, I Know This Much Is True, and She's Come Undone. He is also known for editing two volumes of essays, Couldn't Keep It to Myself and I'll Fly Away, based on his writing workshops at York Correctional Institution, a women's prison in Connecticut, where he volunteered for twenty years.
Lamb resides in Connecticut with his wife, Christine, and they have three sons. His latest novel, The River is Waiting, is anticipated to be released in May 2025 through Marysue Rucci Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
