Ursula Poznanski

Ursula Poznanski is an Austrian author born on 30 October 1968 in Vienna. After finishing high school, she began studying Japanese studies, journalism, law, and theater. Although she did not complete these studies, she pursued a career as a medical journalist starting in 1996. Poznanski has been a published book author since 2003.

She achieved significant acclaim for her thriller novel Erebos, which won the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis (German Children's Literature Award), Jugendjury (Youth Jury) prize in 2011. The novel has been translated into 22 languages, marking her as an influential voice in children's literature.

Ursula Poznanski lives with her family in the south of Vienna.
