T. Rafael Cimino, born Todd Rafael Cimino, is an American novelist and screenwriter hailing from Wayne, NJ, USA. His journey began on June 4th, 1963, and has since taken him from the shores of Key Largo, Florida, in the Florida Keys, to the halls of the University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University. It was there he earned his Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, a testament to his dedication and intellectual prowess.
Cimino's early years were marked by his involvement in water sports, a passion that extended to offshore powerboat racing. This dedication to the sport was not without its rewards; in 1982, Cimino became the youngest competitor to win the coveted APBA (American Powerboat Association) Offshore U. S. National Championship.
