Stephanie Cooke

Stephanie S. Cooke is a journalist who began her reporting career in 1977 at the Associated Press. In 1980, she moved to McGraw-Hill in New York as a reporter for Nucleonics Week, NuclearFuel, and Inside N.R.C. In 1984, Cooke transferred to London and, two years later, covered the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster for Business Week and Nucleonics Week. Returning to the United States in 2004, Cooke completed her book In Mortal Hands: A Cautionary History of the Nuclear Age. Currently, she is the editor of Nuclear Intelligence Weekly and lives with her son in Kensington, Maryland.

Apart from her journalism career, Stephanie is an award-winning writer of graphic novels such as ParaNorthern and the co-writer of Oh My Gods! An avid reader, gamer, and movie watcher, she is also known for her love of puns. Stephanie resides in the City of Raccoons, also known as Toronto, Canada, where she enjoys time with her snuggly, albeit allergenic, cat.
