Sheri Linn Dew is a renowned American author, publisher, and executive. Born on November 21, 1953, she is currently the Executive Vice President of Deseret Management Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of Deseret Book Company, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dew is also known for her leadership within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) where she has served as a religious leader and inspirational speaker. From 1997 to 2002, she held the position of Second Counselor in the General Relief Society of the LDS Church.
In March 2003, the White House appointed her as a member of the U.S. Delegation to the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations.
Deseret Book Company, under her guidance, includes two retail chains—Deseret Book and Seagull—and also houses two publishing companies—Deseret Book and Covenant. It further encompasses an events division, a magazine, and a film-distribution company.
In 2003, Sheri Dew was described as "the most prominent single [unmarried] LDS woman right now."
