Sebastian David Fitzek is a German writer and journalist, born on 13 October 1971 in Berlin. His literary career took off with his first book, Therapy (originally Die Therapie), which was a bestseller in Germany in 2006, even surpassing The Da Vinci Code in popularity.
Fitzek is recognized as one of the most successful writers in Germany. Writing under the pseudonym Max Rhode, Fitzek has captivated millions of readers worldwide. His works have sold over 12 million copies globally, with 5 million copies sold in Germany alone.
Before embarking on his writing career, Fitzek studied law and achieved an LL.D. However, he chose a creative path and ventured into media, working at a private radio station. He eventually worked his way up to chief editor and later became an independent executive consultant and format developer for numerous media companies across Europe.
Currently, he resides in Berlin and is involved in the programme management of a major capital radio station.
