Sarah Moss

Sarah Moss is an English writer and academic. Born in 1975, she has published six novels, as well as a number of non-fiction works and academic texts. Her work has been nominated three times for the Wellcome Book Prize.

She was appointed Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at University College Dublin's School of English, Drama and Film in the Republic of Ireland with effect from September 2020.

Moss is the award-winning author of novels such as Cold Earth, Night Waking (selected for the Fiction Uncovered Award in 2011), Bodies of Light, Signs for Lost Children, and The Tidal Zone, all shortlisted for the prestigious Wellcome Prize. Her new book, Ghost Wall, was released in September 2018.

Additionally, she has written a memoir of her year living in Iceland, Names for the Sea, which was shortlisted for the RSL Ondaatje Prize in 2013.

Currently, Sarah Moss is a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Warwick in England.
