Ryan Chapman

Ryan Chapman is a South African football (soccer) striker for Royal Eagles, born on April 14, 1987, in Cape Town, Western Cape. In addition to his sports career, Chapman is also recognized for his contributions to literature. With a background in marketing and online editorial at BOMB Magazine, The Penguin Press, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, Ryan brings a diverse set of experiences to his writing.

He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Puget Sound and has since been involved in various capacities within the literary community. Despite not holding an MFA, Chapman's work has received recognition, including fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center and the Millay Colony for the Arts.

His active participation in the literary world includes speaking on panels, serving on committees, and organizing events for prominent book festivals and conferences such as the Brooklyn Book Festival, BookExpo America, the Association of Writers and Writing Programs' annual conference, Lit Crawl NY, and the Texas Book Festival.
