Richard Powers

Richard Powers is an American novelist born on June 18, 1957. His works are renowned for exploring the effects of modern science and technology. Among his numerous awards, his novel The Echo Maker won the 2006 National Book Award for Fiction, and he also received a MacArthur Fellowship.

In 2019, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel The Overstory. As of 2024, Powers has published fourteen novels and has taught at prestigious institutions such as the University of Illinois and Stanford University.
