Richard Lancelyn Green

Richard Gordon Lancelyn Green (10 July 1953 - 27 March 2004) was a British scholar of Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes, and was generally considered the world's foremost scholar of these topics. He was the son of Roger Lancelyn Green, a well-known children's author and an Oxford academic who was one of the Inklings, a literary discussion group that included C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.
