Philip Pullman

Sir Philip Nicholas Outram Pullman, CBE, FRSL, is an esteemed English writer renowned for his contribution to literature. Born on October 19, 1946, in Norwich, Pullman has become a household name through his gripping fantasy novels, particularly the His Dark Materials trilogy. His work extends to a thought-provoking fictional biography of Jesus titled The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ.

His writing prowess has not gone unnoticed, with The Times placing him among "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945". In 2004, the BBC acknowledged him as the eleventh most influential person in British culture.
