Paul McClaran Dini is an American screenwriter, comic creator, and a celebrated figure in the animation industry. He is widely acclaimed for his work as a producer and writer for various Warner Bros. Animation/DC Comics animated series, including the iconic Batman: The Animated Series, from which the influential characters Harley Quinn and Terry McGinnis emerged, co-created with Bruce Timm.
Dini's illustrious career in animation began with Tiny Toon Adventures. His repertoire also includes significant roles in Superman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures, and Batman Beyond. Alongside Timm, he co-created Freakazoid!, produced Duck Dodgers, developed and scripted Krypto the Superdog, and ventured into live-action television by writing and story editing the first season of Lost.
In the realm of video games, Dini penned the storylines for the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Paul Dini was born on August 7, 1957, in New York City. He attended the Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California, on an art scholarship. Currently, Dini resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actor/magician Misty Lee, and their two beloved Boston terriers, Pixie and the Tank.
