Ottessa Moshfegh

Ottessa Charlotte Moshfegh is an American author and novelist. Her debut novel, Eileen (2015), won the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award, was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and was a fiction finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.

She has written several other novels including My Year of Rest and Relaxation, Death in Her Hands, and Lapvona. Moshfegh is also the author of a short story collection titled Homesick for Another World and a novella, McGlue. She is recognized as a significant voice in contemporary fiction and resides in Southern California.
