Nikolai Ostrovsky

Nikolai Alekseyevich Ostrovsky (Russian: Николай Алексеевич Островский; Ukrainian: Микола Олексійович Островський, romanized: Mykola Oleksiiovych Ostrovskyi) was a Soviet socialist realist writer. He is best known for his novel How the Steel Was Tempered, which is set during the Russian Civil War and reflects the ideals of the Stalin era.
