Nicholas Christopher is an American novelist and poet, born in 1951. He is the author of seven novels, eight volumes of poetry, and a critical study of film noir.
Nicholas Christopher was born and raised in New York City. He was educated at Harvard College, where he studied under the guidance of renowned poets Robert Lowell and Anthony Hecht. After his studies, he traveled and lived in Europe.
He became a regular contributor to the New Yorker in his early twenties, and his works have been published in leading magazines worldwide, such as Esquire, the New Republic, the New York Review of Books, the Nation, and the Paris Review. His writings have been included in numerous anthologies like the Norton Anthology of Poetry, the Paris Review 50th Anniversary Anthology, and the Best American Poetry.
