Morgan Parker

Morgan Parker is a celebrated poet, essayist, and novelist known for her incisive and culturally relevant works. Her literary prowess has earned her a National Book Critics Circle Award for her poetry collection Magical Negro, as well as a National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowship and a Pushcart Prize. Hailed as "a dynamic craftsperson" of "considerable consequence to American poetry" by The New York Times, Parker's influence extends beyond the written word.

Her passion for writing is reflected in her diverse array of works, including the young adult novel Who Put This Song On?; poetry collections such as Other People's Comfort Keeps Me Up At Night, There Are More Beautiful Things Than Beyonc, and Magical Negro. Parker's educational background is as impressive as her writing credentials. She received her Bachelors in Anthropology and Creative Writing from Columbia University and her MFA in Poetry from NYU.
