Michael West is the bestselling author of Cinema of Shadows, Spook House, The Wide Game, Skull Full of Kisses, and the critically-acclaimed Legacy of the Gods series. A graduate of Indiana University, West earned a degree in Telecommunications and Film Theory. Since then, he has written a multitude of short stories, articles, and reviews for various online and print publications.

He lives and works in the Indianapolis area with his wife, Stephanie, their two children, Kyle and Ryan, their daughter-in-law, Grace, and their dog, King Seesar. His children are convinced that spirits move through the woods near their home.

West's short story "Goodnight," originally published in Wicked Karnival #6, was named "Best Horror Short Story of the Year".
