Michael Thomas Ford

Michael Thomas Ford is an American author renowned for his gay-themed literature. Born on October 1, 1968, he has made a significant impact with his "My Queer Life" series of comedic essay collections and his celebrated novels such as Last Summer, Looking for It, Full Circle, Changing Tides, and What We Remember.

Ford has written more than fifty books for both young readers and adults, with his works being nominated for eleven Lambda Literary Awardsโ€”winning twice for Best Humor Book and twice for Best Romance Novel. His novel The Dollhouse That Time Forgot was nominated for a Horror Writers Association Bram Stoker Award, and his short story Night of the Were Puss was nominated for a Gaylactic Spectrum Award.

He has also authored novels for young adults, including Suicide Notes, Z, and Love & Other Curses. Under the pseudonym Isobel Bird, he wrote the Sickening Adventures series featuring popular contestants from RuPaul's Drag Race.
