Matthew McConaughey

Matthew David McConaughey is an American actor known for his versatile roles and charismatic presence. Born on November 4, 1969, McConaughey achieved his breakthrough with a supporting role in the coming-of-age comedy Dazed and Confused (1993). He then found success as a leading man in the legal drama A Time to Kill (1996).

McConaughey's career progressed with leading roles in films like Contact (1997), Amistad (1997), and the war film U-571 (2000). In the 2000s, he became known for starring in romantic comedies, earning a reputation as a sex symbol in films such as The Wedding Planner (2001) and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003).

After a hiatus, he began appearing in more dramatic roles, starting with The Lincoln Lawyer (2011). McConaughey's portrayal of Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club (2013) earned him critical acclaim and the Academy Award for Best Actor. He also starred in Interstellar (2014) and The Gentlemen (2019).
