Matt Myklusch is the author of nine middle-grade novels and graphic novels, including the JACK BLANK, ORDER OF THE MAJESTIC, and the SEABORNE series. When he was a kid, he wanted to be a comic book penciller. That didn’t happen, but he never stopped drawing – and now he’s writing comic books! IMAGINE NATION, his new graphic novel series, hits the shelves on January 7, 2025. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and family, where he is always behind schedule on his next book.

Myklusch writes for children, including grown-up children like himself. He loves what he does and has been blessed in life with incredible ego and crushing self-doubt, important traits for any writer. The ego part comes from the fact that from a very young age he has been convinced his ideas are so great they need to be published in book form. And purchased. Maybe even read! (But definitely purchased). The self-doubt creeps in whenever he reads a really great book and thinks, “Oh, that’s how a real writer does it.” Still, he loves telling stories and will never live long enough to turn every idea in his head into a book, but he’s going to give it his best shot.
