Mary Lawson

Mary Lawson is a Canadian novelist. Born in 1946 in southwestern Ontario, she spent her childhood in Blackwell, Ontario, located between Sarnia and Brights Grove. She is a distant relative of L. M. Montgomery, the author of Anne of Green Gables. Lawson moved to England after graduating from McGill University with a psychology degree in 1968. She married in Ontario and has two grown-up sons. Mary Lawson currently resides in Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey. Her novels, published by Knopf Canada, are set in Northern Ontario.
