Marcus L. Lukusa was born in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, on February 15, 1984, the second son and child of Ruth Ndjibu and Venance Lukusa. He works as a sales engineering manager for Axis House, supplying these materials to most of the mines up north of South Africa where he currently resides, including DRC, his country of origin.
In his free time, Marcus is a fan of martial arts and was crowned South African national champion of kung fu (Sanshou) and best overall fighter two years in a row, setting records in South Africaโs history of kung fu in 2010 and 2011. These victories led him to represent DRC in the 2011 World Championship tournament of Sanshou in Ankara, Turkey. Despite his love for martial arts, he has decided to step back from active competition to focus more on his professional career.
