Maggie Tokuda-Hall is an American author renowned for her captivating work in children's and young adult novels. Her storytelling prowess is characterized by a rich tapestry of history and intricate characterizations. Locus, in introducing Maggie as an emcee for their annual Locus Awards, described her works as having captivated both readers and critics with her vibrant narrative style.
Maggie is the creative mind behind Also an Octopus, The Mermaid, the Witch and the Sea and its sequel The Siren, The Spy and The Song, as well as Squad, and Love in the Library. Her residence is in Oakland, California, where she lives with her husband, children, and a dog whose perfection is undisputed.
