Lynsay Sands is a Canadian author born in Leamington, Ontario. She has written over 80 books and is most noted for injecting humor into her stories. While she writes both historical and paranormal romance novels, she is best known for her Argeneau series about a modern family of vampires.

Sands is the nationally bestselling author known for her hysterical historical novels, as well as the popular Argeneau/Rogue Hunter vampire series. With her witty and charming personality, she describes books as "Waking dreams or stories, tales to amuse, entertain and distract us from everyday life."
